Norman Studios on Jacksonville’s Silent Motion Picture History

August 6 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Join the Jacksonville History Center for a special evening exploring the legacy of Norman Studios. Founded in 1916, the historic five-building studio complex still stands in Jacksonville’s Old Arlington neighborhood—a rare and powerful reminder of the city’s role in early American cinema. The program will focus on the era when Jacksonville was the “Winter Film Capital of the World,” including the screening of two short films that show Jacksonville more than a century ago.

Tickets are required. They are free for current members of the Jacksonville History Center or Norman Studios. Tickets for non-members are $10. Please click on the button below.
