Work With Us
Whether you’re a student, a professional, or a passionate history enthusiast, we invite you to contribute your time and talents. Volunteer opportunities and internships help power our mission to preserve Jacksonville’s past and inspire its future.
Volunteer Opportunities
YOUR TIME + TALENT
The Jacksonville History Center is grateful for its volunteers who bring their talents and enthusiasm to our many projects. Volunteer needs include curating Merrill Museum House tours, processing archival collections, research, office administration, community outreach, internet technology, and events. If you would like to share your talents a few hours a week (or more), contact us through by filling out the form below, or call us at 904.665.0064 to get started.
Internship Opportunities
Interns play a vital role in supporting the work of the Jacksonville History Center. Most internships focus on research, preservation, and collections management within the Archive of Jacksonville History. We also offer opportunities in nonprofit management and communications, providing hands-on experience in fundraising, marketing, and public engagement. Whether you’re interested in history, public service, or organizational leadership, our internship program offers valuable professional experience in a dynamic and mission-driven environment.
