Personal Check and Donor-Advised Fund

Stock or Wire
We gladly accept both wire gifts and gifts of stock. By giving appreciated stock to the museum, donors may avoid paying capital gains tax and receive a tax deduction for the fair market value of the gifts. Please reach out to our Development team (see below), to help initiate these types of gifts.
IRA Charitable Distribution
If you are over age 70½, consider supporting the Jacksonville History Center directly through your Individual Retirement Account (IRA). Giving a donation to a qualified charity, such as the JHC, directly from your IRA can yield tax savings for you and provide valuable support to the JHC. Please consult with your advisors regarding the tax benefits of such gifts and your plan administrator for the required forms.
Planned Giving
Updating your will to include the Jacksonville History Center can help support our mission for many years to come. You can also consider naming the JHC as a beneficiary of any Retirement Accounts, Life Insurance Policies, Bank or Brokerage Accounts, Certificates of Deposit, or Donor-Advised Funds.
