Echoes of Flight — Cecil Field Closure and Redevelopment
At the 25-year anniversary of the closure of Naval Air Station Cecil Field, educational consultant and former U.S. history teacher Gayle Garrison’s Master’s thesis focused on whether the redevelopment of Cecil Field should be considered a success…or not. Join us on Thursday, April 16, at the Jacksonville History Center, for a panel discussion, facilitated by Ms. Garrison, on the closure and redevelopment of Cecil Field, including saving the Chapel of the High-Speed Pass and establishing the POW/MIA Memorial and museum.
